Teachers’ Convention

Make sure you have gotten your ATA membership card. If you still haven’t gotten your ATA membership card, pay a visit to the ESA office in ED North 4-110A to get yours!
Attending Teachers’ Convention
Students are no longer required to bring convention access cards. However, we do advise that all student local members bring their university identification with them on the off chance that they are asked for identification.
Just as in-service teachers are trusted to fulfill their professional attendance obligations, we trust that our student local members will also demonstrate the same level of professionalism to only attend if they are eligible.
Eligibility and Attendance Requirements for 2024
All preservice teachers registered in the final year of their undergraduate teacher education program can attend one convention in 2024 if they are members of their student local.
Preservice teachers who are on practicum during convention must attend the same teachers’ convention as their cooperating/partner teacher(s).
Preservice teachers who are not on practicum during convention season may attend one of the conventions listed for their institution, provided they do not miss classes.
