Hi everyone! My name is Kaylee, and I am currently in my fourth year of Elementary Education. As President, I oversee a council of 18 members who work together to find the best ways to serve the 2800 undergraduate students in the Faculty of Education. This involves leading the council to ensure clear communication, effective collaboration between the council and the faculty, sound decision-making, and accountability in achieving our organization's mandate to (1) establish a community for students within the faculty, (2) offer academic and professional support for students, and (3) perform valued services and create meaningful opportunities for student engagement.
Besides school and work, I enjoy spending quality time with friends, engaging in lengthy conversations, volunteering in my community, binging YouTube cleaning videos, and exploring trails in the River Valley! 𓍊𓋼 𓆏 𓍊𓋼𓍊

Tehani Gamage Don (she/her)
Hi Everyone! My name is Tehani and I am in my fourth year of my Bachelor of Science (specialization) and Bachelor of Education (secondary) combined program. In the ESA, I am responsible for the management of finances, creating and adhering to the yearly budget, and I report to the ATA and Students' Union. Outside of the ESA, when I'm not working or stressing over school, you can find me volunteering with the local Air Cadet Squadron or tutoring high school students in Math and Science.

Hassan Alhussainy (he/him)
Hello everyone, my name is Hassan, I am in my fourth year of my secondary education degree. I am majoring in social studies and minoring in Arabic. My role consists of creating fun events for education students on campus and connecting education students with the faculty of education and different school boards in Alberta! I come from an Iraqi-Lebanese background that I am so proud of! I am a huge fan of anything and everything history related and that is anything from historical architecture, shows, movies, books, articles etc. Two fun facts about me is that I have a goal to travel around the world before I am 35. I work part time as an educational assistant when I’m not on campus!

My role consists of setting up and planning Professional Development sessions for Education students. Outside of the ESA, I work at a daycare and love to watch movies, read, and play video games. ૮꒰ ˶• ༝ •˶꒱ა Hello, hello!! I am your Technology Commissioner for the 2023/24 year! I am in my third year of my Elementary Education degree. My job as the Technology Commissioner is to keep all our ESA events and information up to date on our website and eclass page (including this Meet the Board section!!). Outside of ESA, you can find me dancing, specifically Chinese dance. I also enjoy watching kdramas and cdramas—they forever have a place in my heart. Oh oh oh, and food! My name is Katherine Lyu. I am in my third year of my Elementary Education degree. As your Liaison Commissioner, I read and reply to emails, answering questions and/or concerns, while communicating with the rest of my beautiful, amazing, slay team!
I have an oh-so-pretty cat, named Dan-bi, which means sweet-rain in Korean, who I am allergic too. I recently got my three-degree black belt in taekwondo, although I need to train a lot more, haha! I can play the flute, although I have been taking a break(?) from it for a while. I also use the slay word way too much, hehe! :P

I volunteer at a Korean Language school and at SVCC to teach Korean. When I’m not studying, volunteering, or working, I like to cook/bake, solve Sudoku/puzzles and watch movies!

Hi! My name is Samantha and I’m in my 3rd year of Elementary Education. As 3rd Year Representative, my role is to hear the voices of fellow third year students in the Faculty of Education, and provide support and representation for them. A fun fact about myself is that I’m super passionate about music- I’ve been playing piano for 15 years, and teaching piano for 4 years! I also had the fantastic opportunity to study abroad in Warsaw, Poland last May, to improve my Ukrainian language skills. :) I am so excited to be part of the ESA this year, and looking forward to an amazing academic year with you all!
