School District 59: Peace River South is a progressive, forward-thinking district located in the

Northeast region of British Columbia, near the Alberta border. The district offices are centered in

Dawson Creek and include the communities of Chetwynd and Tumbler Ridge. School District 59

has nineteen schools, ranging in population from thirty students to over six hundred students.

Included in the district are two Hutterite colony schools, three high schools, a distributed learning

school and many elementary schools.

School District 59: Peace River South is actively hiring for full-time, part-time, and on-call

teachers. Recruiters from SD#59 will host the session and share district insights and tips for a

successful application. This session will also feature teachers from schools from across the

district, who will share their SD59 experiences and talk about life in the South Peace!
