Annually Funded Awards

Etty Cameron Memorial Award in Education

Funded By: Annually funded by the Education Students' Association in memory of Etty Cameron

Awarded to a student who identifies as a member of a visible minority or who is a First Nation, Inuit or Métis person of Canada in accordance with the Constitution Act, 1982, Part 2, Section 35(2) with satisfactory academic standing enrolled in any year of an undergraduate degree in the Faculty of Education. Selection is based on academic standing and involvement in their community.

Education Students' Association Bursary for Students with Dependents

Funded By: Annually funded by the Education Students' Association

Awarded to a student with a dependent child(ren) with satisfactory academic standing enrolled in any year of an undergraduate degree in the Faculty of Education. Selection is based on demonstrated financial need.


Education Students' Association Bursary for Indigenous Students

Funded By: Annually funded by the Education Students' Association

Awarded to a student who is a First Nation, Inuit or Métis person of Canada in accordance with the Constitution Act, 1982, Part 2, Section 35(2) with satisfactory academic standing enrolled in any year of an undergraduate degree in the Faculty of Education. Selection is based on demonstrated financial need. Preference is given to a student enrolled in practicum placement.

Endowments:

The Education Students' Association Citizenship Award

Endowed by the University of Alberta's Education Students' Association

Awarded to a student with satisfactory academic standing entering the second, third or fourth year of study for a Bachelor of Education. Selection is based on outstanding leadership in Education as demonstrated through volunteering in education related settings that contribute to the wider community, and positive contributions to student life through campus volunteer activities. Recipients are eligible to receive this award once in their academic career.

Education Students' Association Leadership Award

Endowed by the University of Alberta's Education Students' Association

Awarded to a student with satisfactory academic standing enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in the Faculty of Education. Recipient will be selected on the basis of demonstrated leadership through participation in volunteer activities on campus and in the wider community that reflect positively on the Faculty of Education. Preference will be given to students who are not members of the Education Students' Association Council. Recipients are eligible to receive this award once in their academic career.
