I’m passionate about building community, supporting fellow education students, and helping create meaningful experiences both inside and outside the classroom!

I am also a sports person! I enjoy soccer, basketball, tennis, and many other sports. Travelling and going out with friends is another part I enjoy!

Hi! My name is Haramol Chahal, and I’m heading into my fourth year of Secondary Education. I’m majoring in Biological Sciences and minoring in Health Education—both areas I’m deeply passionate about!

Outside of my academic life, I’m a big movie lover. I enjoy going to the theatre with friends, analyzing everything from cinematography to story arcs, and then posting my thoughts on Letterboxd (it's basically my digital film diary). Music is another huge part of my life—whether I’m listening to new albums, attending concerts, or just jamming out at home, anything music-adjacent instantly grabs my attention. I’m always up for a good playlist swap or chatting about the latest releases!

I also love exploring local coffee shops and treating myself to pastries. There’s something so comforting about finding a cozy corner, sipping a good latte, and sampling whatever baked good catches my eye!

My name is Alisha and I am pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education at the University of Alberta, specializing in Mathematics, Sciences, and English. In addition to my studies, I actively support students as an academic advisor through student councils and tutoring. Also, I bring practical experience as an Educational Consultant. I am delighted to serve as Vice-President Academic of the Education Students’ Association (ESA), by planning Professional Development (PD) Days through the Alberta Teachers’ Association (ATA). I’m currently a second-year after-degree student in the Faculty of Education, working toward my Bachelor of Education with a major in CTS: Media Arts and a minor in English Language Arts. Before beginning my journey in education, I earned my Bachelor of Journalism (Honours) from the University of King’s College in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Outside of school, I share my life with my wonderful fiancé, Jacob, and our beloved cat. I am going into my third year in Secondary Education and I aim to teach the Filipino language curriculum once I complete my degree. A little more about myself, I am really into watching Esports, specifically Valorant Esports. This summer, I went to Toronto to watch Valorant’s first global tournament in Canada which was easily the highlight of my summer.
